Welcome ladies, we're glad to have you with us!Hello everyone, This account will be run by a few gals from the same family. My sister and I were raised by our grandparents and great grandparents so our favorite fashion tends to be vintage especially when we dress up. Everyone has passed now, but our eyes are still drawn to the same thing - Vintage! Due to prices, I've been buying 40's and 50's vintage remakes since my early 20's, but my sister (likes 60's, 80's) and I have lately realized (perhaps a bit too late - ha!) that Thrift Stores, Salvation Army, and Goodwill have some amazing, and truly vintage finds. We've traveled to several places in the past few months in our spare time. Some of our favorites include: a 1960's beaded purse, a 1980's boned bodice dress, and several furs (usually dyed, but still fabulous) etc. I found a hand-sewn baby bonnet falling apart, but still adorable. Had to have it!! The quality of vintage is just remarkable to look at. I looked at a Lillie Rubin dress last night my sister purchased for like 10 minutes just appreciating the attention to detail. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and tell you a bit about us!
Welcome Bussinada, a big wave to you in Sardinia from over here in Wisconsin USA!Hello everyone,
I'm Bussinada, from Sardinia, an island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. My wife Francesca and I are thrift enthusiasts, and we especially love vintage garments. Searching for these treasures is truly an adventure!
I'm almost in the middle of my life, approaching my 50s, and I've got some great items that turned vintage while sitting in my wardrobe. I love them—they seem to have a never-ending appeal and durability!
Hi Gloria, I am sorry for your loss! We're very glad you joined us, and I hope we can be of help along this journey ahead of you.Greetings from Minnesota and Arizona, USA.
After years of owning an interior design business, buying goods for clients and myself, it's time to let go and allow others to enjoy these beautiful items.
My lovely fiancé died unexpectedly in 2021. He showered me with wonderful gifts. It's going to be a journey parting with these items but also a way to relive the joy of receiving his gifts.
My items are varied! Fine furniture and accessories, art, fabrics, vintage watches, furs and more.
Thank you for having me on the forum. I look forward to getting to know you!
Gloria

Hello, Miss Salty. Welcome from another newbie. This site is simply amazing and offers a wealth of information.Greetings fellow vintage collectors. I've always had an appreciation for "old stuff," but the items I'm interested in seem to shift as I mature. When I was younger I was particularly interested in antique furniture. I loved refinishing salvaged wood furniture that no one else wanted. For health reasons, I no longer refinish furniture, but my love for vintage and antique items remains. More recently I've been delving into vintage fashion - purses, jewelry, clothing, etc. I'm newer at this, so I really appreciate that this resource exists. Thank you for welcoming me and for permitting me to peruse the forums. I can tell there is a lot of knowledge floating around in here and I appreciate everyone sharing.
