    Dunno....could be me and some technical difficulty, but my pic shows up on the member page, but I can't get it saved here.

    It's within the size limits, I'm sure.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    when you load it in your avatar you only need load it as this

    http://members.aol.com:/cherrypie2roses/logoshoesm.gif

    you don't need the < or img stuff

    I did find that I had to reduce mine down from the advised measurements, so if the above doesn't work, try downsizing

    Actually, the colon is part of the URL....I'll take it out and see. I reduced the size and it still didn't take. If at first you don't succeed.........

    LOL....hey, removing the colon worked! Strange, that little punctuation mark has never stopped an image before.

    Thank you so kindly, madam!

    These boards are very user friiendly. Just a couple of clicks/copy/paste and you can do anything!

    When you start a topic: a new page will open up. Be sure that you insert a 'subject' title.

    Above the "message" box are some icons. Play with them!

    1)To insert a link(address of web site you want us to visit):"5th icon from left"
    click ---->you'll get a pop=up asking what you'd like to call the link, the next pop=up is where you copy/paste the URL.(remember to delete the http:// that is highlighted)

    2) To insert a picture(picture has to be hosting on line): "7th icon from left"
    click---> you'll get a pop=up asking you to insert the URL of picture,(remember to delete the http"// that is highlighted)

    Click the okay button, and you've inserted a link or a picture!

    <hr>

    There are two ways to reply to a topic already started:

    1)-- quick reply= you'll have to know the proper html to use inside the message box.

    ***to insert a direct link, just copy/paste it into the message box.

    http://forums.ebay.com/db1/forum.jsp?forum=92

    ***You can also insert the URL for your picture(link to view) the same way:

    http://members.sparedollar.com/cotmyey/wave.gif

    ***to insert a picture to show up inside the thread you need to use html.

    < img src="place the URL of your picture here"> (no spaces!)

    <img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/cotmyey/wave.gif">

    2) at the top and bottom of every thread is a 'post reply' icon. when you use that option, you'll have all the link/picture icons,smilies:cool: and text manipulation options. The same instructions as for posting a new topic.(see above top)

    <hr>

    If you do not have your pictures hosted online, you can email me, and I'll be happy to post them here for you.

    If you use the "Insert An Image" icon when you post to a topic. The icon is above the message box.( 7th from left)(4th from right), you'll need to have your picture hosted on an online 'image host' .

    The easiest way to do this is to have 2 windows open at once.

    1- You need to open your 'image' and get the url address.
    The address will look like this: http://members.sparedollar.com/cotmyey/1fillinpic.jpg

    2-Highlight and copy that url from the 'address' box in your browser.

    3- Back here!! Click on the 'Insert Image' icon. A 'pop-up' will be displayed. It will ask you to insert the URL for the image. NOTE
    that there is already a 'highlighted' http:// shown in the box.

    Hover you mouse over the box, you'll get a I , RIGHT Click you mouse and choose paste. If it is done properly, you'll only have ONE http:// in the address. Click Okay.

    If you need any other help, HOLLER!! I'm around every day.
