I have just found my first piece of vintage clothing whilst shopping in a charity shop
I have found some info re the label
Maureen Baker London but notice you do not have an image in your label resources

I attach some images of the label and the coat.
I would very much like to find out more about the item if anyone can help.

I didn't see this particular label for DVF...
It looks to be part of an ensemble, but I only found the dress coat. Fabric is acetate with nylon lining. I think it's from the 80s or 90s per union label.

I thought I had submitted this bio with tags years ago, but in dusting off my small & ancient blog, it looks like not. The labels are smaller than ideal, but hopefully usable. Unfortunately, the shirts sold years ago so I can't go back and reshoot.

Nat Nast was called “The King of Bowling Shirts”, and is believed to have produced the very first bowling shirts when he started his company in Kansas City Missouri in 1946. Nat Nast created the first shirts with inverted pleats, known as the Action Back. The shirts were made out of washable rayon and the company eventually specialized in customized embroidery for colleges and universities as well as bowling teams and their sponsors across the USA. The Nat Nast company was sold in the 1970s. A revival of sorts came about in 2000 when his two daughters started Nat Nast Luxury Originals, basing their designs on their father’s iconic shirts but adding embroidered artwork.

I believe these are both 50s vintage, the pink a bit earlier than the blue.

I'm back! This time with a Brent label - they were a division of Montgomery Wards. It's a little weird when you think about it that both Penneys and Wards had Brent-somethings under their umbrella. Anyway. A 49er style men's jacket, I'm thinking solid 50s.

Feels appropriate to hand over this label - VIO BIO Paris by Roby Sasson is an important contributing designer to the New Wave movement late 70s early 80s. This cotton blouse and has a straight jacket look but with plenty of movement. He is active on Facebook and messaged me directly, but has not responded since. He HAS responded directly in one of the forums in 2018 and commented on several items of his. I feel he should be added to the permanent catalog. Thank you!

1940s jacket by Lois Russell Hawaii. Thanks to @Vintagiality I know that she designed under her own name from 1941 to 1953, and came out of retirement 8 years later to design as "Lois Russell for Malihini".

    1) 1923 Jantzen Swimsuit label
    (2) Wool Swimming Suit
    (3) attached
    (4) This is the earliest Jantzen swimming suit label I have found. The Jantzen tag font is consistent with script used in 1923. Though the classic red diving girl was already being used in advertising, she is not yet present on the leg of the suits or on the label.
    (5) Please credit Kristin Wojkowski of Vintage.Swimwear.Collection on IG

    Thank you Kristin!
