It's half term at the moment so I have been entertaining my small son (nearly 4) with baking this afternoon.
Knowing how messy things get I decided to go upstairs and hange my dress for something I didn't have to handwash and Fin came with me.
He pointed to a dress I'd bought from Lei that...
I was thinking last week that I have never tried to sell vintage in the women's clothing category on ebay, which I know I see a few ebay UK vintage seller's doing on a regular basis in evening wear etc. and they are pretty popular.
I think if I tried I would probably list in both - anyone...
The sleeve treatment is fantastic! I think that is one thing that always attracts me to clothing. Obviously the cut and detail all over is important but I do like an interesting sleeve! :)
Looks a little older to me - I am going to wait for Jonathan but I think you can definitely put 'timeless' in your description Deborah, after this discussion!
You are definitely right! While at times it's easy as you get the girls who wanted to be cutting edge but made it themselves (easier to date when it all fits!) you have the user-uppers the old faithfuls who know only one style is for them and wear it for years (as in our example) and only the...
Girl dropped off the whole litter, couldn't even remember when they were born and was a bit sketchy on parentage (although definitely long haired terrier type mum) apparently.
At least she thought to drop them off at the actual kennels rather than just dump them.
I think matching raincoats...
You should keep it! I know I am terrible as I always tell people to hang on to things but if it fits as is Anne then you really should. I love the little notched detail in the collar. :)
I think I would agree with you on date - if you imagine it a little longer with a self fabric belt?
This is a bit of a grainy pic I'm afraid, as I don't have photoshop on this computer so couldn't lighten it up any.. hope you can see!
(hang on it didn't resize!)
try again..
I'll take a better one soon. We went to the RSPCA kennels on Friday afternoon, but explained that we were...
I, being a skinflint with things I wear myself (but ironically shell out tons on repairs and cleaning for resale!) would be inclined to take them to the cobbler and ask what would be the cheapest way to disguise it. But then, as I said, I am cheap :BAGUSE: .
But they are lovely, and if they...
A great read as usual Lin! I'd never actually thought of the term 'tile print' before (which is daft as I even occasionally collect encaustic tiles.. what don't I collect)
And now off to look at toast catalogue..
They are wonderful Connie, I always pick up this type of thing - when you can actually find them.
You could almost run a caption competition for some of them!
Freecycle is a dangerous thing. My husband despairs of me regularly anyway, but not so much as the day I told him he needed to take me to collect a 60s kitsch as you like kidney shaped padded effect ( ) dressing table in his lunch hour as it neded saving from the tip..
I love it!
