Yes I agree and would make a nice title too ;) , or cornflowers? Lovely jumper!
Shade..hmm. I over-use 'dusky' for everything, but I have a better name on the tip of my tongue.. will go sort out the washing up and then maybe it will come to me!
I'm the same! Lots of 60s and 70s wild prints on a daily basis with old flared Levi's, in summer I will wear cotton day dresses (40s 50s 60s) in novelty prints etc. - but my wardrobe is bursting with glamorous evening wear from the 30s and 40s which is destined to be worn once and then sold...
I really like the first one Anne, and I know there are tons of polka dot things in the shops over here for spring and summer - are the cherries an original part? I love them!
Great pics Lei!
Well I have to admit the goodness wore of a little bit today and I accidentally bought a gorgeous embroidered bedjacket and 30s wedding dress. But they were reduced, so that's my excuse! I had an awful lot of pent up shopping in me I think - seeing all those people wandering...
It's been nearly ten years since I took on a stall of my own, and I'd sort of got used to the luxury of selling from home. I forgot how much hard work the setting up was.. but still, it was worth it.
I had a great day, met lots of nice people (including Lei, who I had a stall alongside!) and...
Some real bargains Connie! I'm sure they won't be left there long - sorry you're closing, I did like your website. Will keep an eye out for you on Ebay instead :)
I saw a 50s circle skirt yesterday at a fair in an almost identical ballerina print and literally ran over to look at it properly (sadly too expensive and I am being good at the moment!). Your robe must be gorgeous! Nice to meet you by the way Vera :)
It's always nice to hear of a fellow umbrella fan. I have about 30, but refuse to call it a collection as theyare a British necessity!
Love your blog Maggie :) Oh and now I need a 'merde' umbrella Deborah!
Very true advice Gail, and what a wonderful memorial to your sister - it's so good to see people being remembered in a positive and creative way, and sounds like a fitting tribute.
I think you're on the right track wth the cubist, and I know exactly what you mean about the material. I think woven raffia describes it pretty accurately. Looks a lot like quilting hexagons too the more I stare at it...
Cool purse!
Very nice linda! I do, and I think it's because I have one somewhere but I know nothing about it I'm afraid. Have you tried looking at the patent office? - might give you an exact date! :)
Great detective work Marian! I haven't seen my girfriend this week, but i hadn't forgotten. It certainly does look formal, so your cconclusion sounds very likely!
Husband is pleased as he thinks I will hardly fit anything in when I go hunting for vintage. Oh how wrong he is!
You're right Deborah - I used to take rubbish to the local tip in my last mini and there was an area where they would sell on anything decent people had tipped like furniture...
Leggings! Now that's an item that hasn't been in my wardrobe for some years. Hmm, interesting to see the bubble and cocoon shapes again too. Where did I put my puffball skirt.... :D
