Label is from a Reyn Spooner reverse-print Hawaiian shirt. You don't have this label, but one similar to this font. Not certain of the date yet. Sorry. The shirt appears to be hand sewn--with a sewing machine that is. Also there's no fabric info tag. It could be an original! LOVE the surfer in...
Hi susan, I got distracted with other work & forgot I posted here! Yes, I see the "solds" on ebay, but it never talks about the designs or eras, or how they determined them. There are references to brands: Monkey, Fast Color & some others, but that's it. If I find anything I will definitely post...
My latest curiosity is dating & finding vintage bandanas. (I found an interesting--to me--one at an estate sale, but I SWEAR I can not find a good resource for dating them or comparing designs. (The one book I could find, my state library system doesn't carry, something out of Japan.) SO...here...
So sorry. I thought I had uploaded the label too. This is inside the shoe. Yes, I've recently seen the Mexican shoe shop as well. Not sure if they are related.
I wasn't really looking for an "authentication". I'm familiar with The Vintage Fashion Guild as I've been dealing in vintage for many years & have always found the forums kind & helpful, not judging, thank you. Also, people like figuring out a mystery, as these are an interesting pair. And I...
I found these darling Lanvin leather booties. On the sole it says "made in Mexico" in Spanish. Also, the size says 24 1/2. I'm at a loss. They are very well made, beautifully soft leather inside & out. But hm...
What do you think?
I don't believe these Levi's (small "e") are truly that old, but what about this upside-down--& flipped-over--Levi's red tag? It's surely a fluke, but hm.... :) thoughts? xo
Hi Lynne, thank you. I can't seem to get those pages to translate. & can't find a thing anywhere else. Do you know anything? I would have NEVER come up with the name. :)
Thank you Mary Jane. Yes, my mom had a dress in a similar style in the 70s. I just didn't know what to call the fabric design. I LOVE this forum. So much information. :)
I can NOT make out this name on an Italian silk ascot--estate sale find, from a man who collected very find clothing. Men's wear is not my specialty. thank you! d xo
I love this dress I found & design. It's one of those pieces, I believe, where you buy the fabric designed to BE a dress. The blue trim is in the design. Isn't there a name for this? The dress is hand sewn, cotton or cotton blend, metal zipper up the back, tiny buttons down the front, that wide...
I'd like to add this photo to the Fabric resource section. I can't see a link for that, only the tags, which I do send over. Anyone? (Probably help if I put my reading glasses on). :)
It's like none I've ever seen. Thank you again. Will add that it's listing. The VFG is such a wonderful resource. I really should join.
d, xo

Hello Melanie, thank you! Yes, I'll shoot a close-up & a backside too, which is interesting as well. Rainy day. Let me find some good light & get back here. :)
wow, I don't how I could be so dense, but I haven't looked at the changing union labels! You're right. Well, what do you know. The 60s. :)
thank you Maggie. And Linn too!
All I can find on Simonelli is that he worked for several designers, including Modelia from the late 60s to the early 80s--that's a long time span.
This coat was made for "Lord & Taylor" so that could be any of those years as well. And the label (compared to the label resource doesn't nail it...
I bought this beautiful navy blue trench coat an estate sale. The only tag is Neiman Marcus. No designer clue except for these interesting buttons. Any thoughts?
Thank you, d :)
