Hello, I\'m Back!!

Hello everyone!

I used to come in here as InkedPalm. Forgot my password after all this time. :duh2: I have been absent due to a year and half of breast surgeries and other nasty treatments. I am doing well now and am currently selling on eBay again. A lot has changed, and I haven't quite caught up on everything, but my love for Vintage items hasn't diminished, and hopefully my knowledge (thanks to those on this site) has grown. I am glad to be back and am looking forward to connecting again.

Hi, Nadine. I'm new here in the last six months or so (but not new to vintage) and haven't met you before, but I look forward to your posts. I too have been out of the selling loop because of serious health problems but am now out of the woods and starting to list again. What a long, strange (and nightmarish and beautiful) trip it's been, eh?

Welcome back the board!

Thank you everyone!

This is such an excellent resource for me. Not to mention a great group of people. Glad to be back!!!

Nadine :cheer:

Definitely a combo of nightmare and beautiful. I don't believe I am the same person after that trip, and you know what? I'm glad I am not. So much unnecessary stuff just fell by the wayside, I doubt it could have happened any other way. GLAD TO BE ALIVE!!! Thank you, Nadine :kiss2:

HI CHRIS!! :sunshine:

Thanks for directing me to this thread. Yep, I remember when you got married. Of course, it's always preferable to be the one who does the walking, but Mr. Creep did you a favor. Glad you are rid of him! :excited:

Geez, and I thought my year was bad.

Linda, I really left so you could catch up on me on the number of posts. I wanted someone to pass me up. I had to leave to do it.

I haven't been here that much since last December and I was dismayed to have dropped a few notches in the number of posts contest, as I was in the top ten for some time. At one point in the past I was hoping to surpass you, Chris, but it would have taken a few more years of typing! :hysterical:

I am so sorry to read of your terribly sad tribulations and awed by your resiliency. I am so impressed by your great kindness in nursing your ailing spouse back to health, as he was clearly in need of help in more ways than just his health. I am sure that your greatest gift to a fellow human was less in what you did here, or anywhere else, than in leaving a gentle--and permanent--imprint of kindness and love on a heart that really needed that lesson.

Hi everyone,I just joined the forums, tho I've been watching VFG for a year. I own a vintage blog where I also sell items.
It had great success in my country, the market is still hot and new in here,we've barely discovered the delights of vintage clothing.

Romania, like a quite poor country in eastern europe,we get a lot of stuff from france, italy, germany, sweden, usa and basically everywhere else. Prices are a lot lower than in America,England,France or Australia. How do I know? I've seen the prices listed on online vintage shops and I'm telling you vintage traders, you can get the exact same stuff in here for a fraction of a price!

People here still dont know what this is all about, they price vintage items as much as second hand items, and you can find in the same place both a 50s cocktail dress and a 2-year-old Gap tshirt.

We dont have ANY retail vintage-only shops, only SH shops where you can find vintage too.All the vintage shops we have are online. Mine is http://mademoiselle-vintage.blogspot.com/

Im glad to have joined your community!!

Hello Lizzie and welcome! Well I'm UK based but I know where I'm going for my holidays next year! lol

Sounds like you have the vintage market well covered and I wish you the best of luck with your selling. Are you a collector of vintage clothing or do you sell it - or both?

I shall take a look at your blog and please let me know if you'd like to exchange links with my own blog, Catwalk Threads. Great to meet you!

Hello,Louise and thanks a lot for your kind words and welcome!

Lol i know you can't understant much from my blog,take a look here,pics only(sold items) http://mademoiselle-vintage.blogspot.com/2008/07/galerie-articole-vandute.html

I have a blog and not a website because here we dont make many online payments and our clients only pay when they receive their order, not before, like in UK,US and everywhere else.So I dont need a .com domain if I wannna sell in Romania only.

Your website is wicked too,I was familiar with it from VFG(great inspiration/fabric and dating resource)

Unfortunatelly,I dont have enough time and money to start an international business all by myself, but I'd like to have collaborations and friendships with vintage traders everywhere!

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out now.

Well you can certainly count me as a friend  I'm very happy to link to your blog from mine anyway - you never know who's looking!

I'm impressed with your dedication and think it's great that you want to learn more. I've only been selling vintage for a couple of years but have loved vintage clothing for much longer. I'm learning all the time and really enjoy spending time on the VFG forums (too long sometimes)! It can be really isolating working from home as I do, so it's great to have support like this from my colleagues here at the VFG. If I didn't sell vintage I would probably spend my whole time buying it from these wonderful ladies and gents.

I've got a Facebook page if you'd like to join?
