Hi Lizzie :spin:

I find it interesting that your customers pay after they receive their items.. have you ever had problems with that arrangement?

Welcome to the boards!:drinking2:

Hello everyone, thank you all for your kind welcome!

BijouxVintage: Yes,I've had some problems with customers not picking up their orders :( Mostly during the first months of existance...now it rarerly happens without being told in advance.

What can I say,we DO move slower this part of Europe....

Hello everyone,Im new as well,my name is Lizzie,Im 22 and I'm from Romania.
My online vintage shop is called Mademoiselle Vintage(in honour of C.C of course)

Your websites are amazing,I like all of them!!! Im so excited for joining this forum and being around vintage experts and lovers....our passion is a very noble one

Chris, I'm very late to the "welcome back" party, but a very hearty "welcome back"! It's been great to "see" you back on the boards, but I only now just found this thread in looking for something else....

Yeah, husbands can be real jerks, and your ex really takes the cake. But better he left when he did and not 5 more years of your life down the road. (Having been left with my last $25 by my ex at one point, I can kinda relate, but what I went through was probably a cakewalk compared to where you've been.) You've clearly got great strength and resilience!

Terrific to have you back!

Hello Chris, we don't know each other (yet) but I just wanted to say hello :hiya: and welcome back. So glad to hear you've made it through the dark days. I've also had experience of an ex-husband so can probably relate to some of what you've been through. One thing I was always sure about was that it wasn't going to affect the rest of my life in a negative way - and it hasn't! Let's hear it for the girls! :excited: :drinkingtoast:

Hi everyone! I have been lurking on this forum for a while and thought it was about time I finally joined. I am Beach Bygones. I have loved vintage since I discovered the rockabilly scene about 20 years ago. These days I don't wear it but I still love anything 1950s. I sell at local vintage and antique fairs in Suffolk, UK. My stall has anything on it connected to 1950s/60s/70s seaside scenes so as well as swimsuits, sunglasses and sundresses I sell vintage picnic sets, luggage and deckchairs. I am totally obsessed and love it to bits! I sell now and again on ebay and etsy but I need to get a little more organised with my listings. The vintage fashion guild website has been fantastic to increase my knowledge and the people on the forum seem really supportive of each other. I love it!

Hello everybody.
I am new to this forum..... Don't know how to post new forum. This forum si really nice and would definitely like to use this forum. Want to know more on vintage fashion from this forum. Please help me.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site and am really glad I found it. I love all things vintage and retro. I'm an ebay seller of over 10 yrs, I blog, blah blah blah. My main passion is thrift store hunting. I expect to learn a lot from this site and look forward to it.

Hey everyone. I'm also new. I own a used clothing sorting operation and have recently taken an interest in vintage since I frequently come across some very interesting pieces. I see myself using this site for educational purposes and possibly becoming a trade member in the future.

Hi everyone :hiya:

I'm a dress historian and long-term vintage fiend who thought it was high time to step out of the shadows and participate here a bit more!

Full disclosure - I did actually join the forum a couple of years ago but then dipped out due to work pressure.

I am so full of admiration for the wisdom and experience of the VFG members, and can't wait to test everyone's patience with lots of questions!

I might even be able to help answer a few too, although my area of expertise is more in the social history/cultural aspect of dress history rather than makers and labels.

My weekly pleasure is volunteering at a local costume museum, where I get to see (and carefully handle) all the treasures, from early 20s beaded Chanel dresses to Mary Quant rubber boots! A recent task was to sew hooks and eyes onto one of Wallis Simpson's Dior suits :o

Hi Tin Truck - glad you have decided to "step out of the shadows." Your volunteer work sounds lovely. I tried to research the Sally Jess bag for you and you have done far better than I. Ask away, perhaps someone can help you with something else... or you can help one of us!

Thanks Amanda!

I'd love the opportunity to help answer some questions, and maybe my time will come!

But I'm sure I can add to the research resources with material I've gathered during my research, and I've run riot all over the vintage ads forum already!

Hello Everyone! I just found the forums a few days ago and wanted to say HELLO! My name is Lisa, and I'm an avid collector (and lover!) of vintage fashion! It's so nice to have a place like this :D and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

(I'll try to add a pic of me wearing Bonnie Cashin!!)

Thanks for the welcome everyone :) ! And yes, that is a Cashin boucle wool and suede poncho that I'm wearing (thanks to Nelda's!!).

Lisa
