The woven base layer has an almost linen weave feel/look.....could the top weave be silk? The fabric is not 'stiff' but it has alot of sturdiness to it. It's very fine and transparent.

Here are some better shots in daylight....it is definitely two levels of fabric and it feels like a fine muslin but I am a fabric dunce.
