I recently found this camel leather jacket and I was wondering from what period it is from, as well as its value. Since Camel is a cigarette brand and, to my understanding, have stopped manufactoring clothes, I would like to know when it was made.
Thank you in advance :))
Hey, I bought this leather jacket on a local thrift store and I believe it’s a genuine piece because of the quality and brand name “adar artesania de la piel” which I think means Adar skin craft or something, but I can’t find any information of the brand. I would like to know more about the...
My guess is that this purse is from the 1940s or so. Lucille de Paris handbags are similar but not quite the same. There is a yellow painted tag that seems to have faded but no other id's. Thank you for your time and any information you may have to share!!
Hiya my lovely knowledgable lot!
I fell in love with this bag the style is very unique and the shape is interesting. I got it from a charity shop. As a hobby I restore leather items feed, maintain, small repairs etc. I got this bag mostly for me because I thought it was fun. I got it from an...
Hiya
So I scored this bag today at a charity shop - fairly sure it’s leather and it’s super soft.
Wondering what to clean it with as it’s a bit grubby? Also does anyone know if these things are worth much if I decide to sell it?
Many thanks

Hi,
This forum has been such a great help to me, I'm very grateful. I have had these beautiful leather boots for some time, but have never worn them. I think these date from the 80s, but am open to correction.
They are beautifully made. One thing I know for sure is that they are Italian made...

I recently acquired a handbag from a family member and have no idea of how to identify what leather/skin it is. I am a handbag lover, but unfortunately have very little knowledge on vintage items!
The only background information I have on the bag is that it was purchased in the...
I'm doing research on the trumpeter swan, and was wondering if anyone had any information on the use of swansdown/swanskin in clothing. Info on larger, non-trim, pieces would be very much appreciated, or on its production, but anything that anyone is willing to share will be met with enthusiam.
I am having trouble identifying what type of leather this is. It’s the most velvety leather I have ever felt, and it is extremely delicate and very easily stained with water/oils. It was an estate find and i tested a small spot on the base with a very lightly dampened cloth, and the leather...
I recently treated myself to the purchase of one of the iconic Bill Gibb leather outfits; the skirt and jacket. (It cost a fortune so don't torment yourself with the idea I snapped up a bargain)
However I am wondering how to care for it. Should I treat the leather with anything? Is it best...
Hi y'all. I'm not sure what to call this type of leather, and i am not super good at telling diff types of leather apart. I don't know if i should call it suede or maybe it is Slink? iIt is velvety soft and has no nap. It has a particular grain but doesnt look to show pores that i can tell...
