Just saw these last 2 photos. Just fabulous. Wonder what Harvester was? Football team name?

Pampa, Texas football team is called The Harvesters from digging around internet.
Perhaps a 1940s yearbook could be found. Very cute indeed.

I also found this, assumed modern knockoff, for $30. The tag is "Sweaters by Madman". Has anyone seen this tag or heard of it?

A little late to this thread, but HERE is a link to a 1978 reference to Sweaters by Madman (re your post #300).

It looks c.1980 to me and a little bit Kaffe Fassett-ish with those multicoloured background stripes. He did publish some knitting pattern books, it might have been made from one. The MOP buttons also feature on clothing around this time. Great cardigan!

Wow - what a find! I am finally getting around to finishing the "Choo-Choo Train" sweater for my cousin's little boy - will post here when finished. It was good to see your one that has a zipper in it, because that's what I'm going to be doing too on mine.
