Well, me - as I cracked and had to rent a room as stock levels were getting silly...

It is difficult as I wouldn't imagine there are any statistics. It's so hard to quantify.. especially when many sellers are just doing in part time or as a hobby and therefore not registered for tax with no way of tracing them!
I think it would be a nightmare to quantify anyway, so I feel for...
Apparently it is only an hour and a half on the train to Munich, and we arrive first thing in the morning in Salzburg - so if it is expensive I shall just spend the day there and then head for cheap dining out in Germany!
Yay! It's been a bumpy old start to the year for me but my little sister has come up trumps and is paying for me to go away with her for a long weekend in March in lieu of a birthday gift.
We fly to/from Salzburg so will spend a day there either Friday and Monday and check out all things...
You are good - I was meant to have mine up this evening but failed miserably.. Keep it up!
Great stuff too! I love that day dress, the print is just lovely!
I think a class is definitely the way forward Chris, so I can try before I buy so to speak. Unfortunately for those around me I seem to have a bigger is better mentality (i.e. why am I making these paltry scarves when I could be making HUGE throws and rugs etc) - so Janine, it's one of those...
I'm not sure Chris. It does look 50s to me but maybe i am not seeing it right - I know what you mean when you have something up close and it feels not quite right for your initial thought.
It's so true Deborah - even on a small scale the set up of the 'warp' seems to take forever; especially when you're used to knitting where you cast on and then can kind of see that you are making in roads!
It's only about 14" wide, so I am limited to making small stuff. I made Finlay a scarf...
I just wondered..
I am very much a fan of all things textile related, and lately I have begun weaving on a smallish frame loom (in a totally amateur way) and am really enjoying it.
I'm thinking I might quite like to buy a big floor loom, and just thought I'd ask if anyone had any...
That is a dilemma Chris.. I too would probably end up getting it fixed and then wearing it myself -if it fits you I would keep it. Black coats are always useful!
Yves Saint Laurent \'designed towels\' - 70s poolside robe
I picked this up today as I thought it was cool before I noticed it was a decent make. Not couture stuff obviously (it is literally movie star poolside full length towelling robe with side slits and back zip, elasticated at empire...
Interesting article from ny magazine - one woman\'s closet
The value of one (lucky, rich) woman's closet. A few vintage pieces in there, but also interesting to know which modern designers fare best in the appreciation stakes:

Fantastic project Paul! Am I right in thinking this is your area? (craftsman like things!)
I tried to make a glove form from a cereal packet.. not quite so professional looking! Keep us posted on the progress, then I'll get my order in, lol!
So it's not long until midnight strikes at Big Ben (or Times Square, and so on! :) ) and everyone will be resolving all manner of things.
I have been thinking hard and will have a realistic list by the end of the day before I start karaoke-ing it up with the neighbours....
I am really...
Hello Barb :)
It looks relatively recent to me, but am no expert - is HKD (on the tag) hong kong dollars? I don't recognise the tag immediately as one from the resourceas I belive it would say 'Oleg' also. I wonder if it is another brand?
Sure others will chime in!
These are the same batch number, and i think later than he thinks (listed in 60s) but too small.. sob!

Here\'s a silly question. How do I know what number my Levi\'s are?
Yes, I know nothing when it comes to denim. Been looking over the denim workshop from last summer and am stuck on a very silly question.
I need to buy some new ones as my old favourites are literally falling apart at the...
