Hi everyone, so I got these scarves that I think are at least from the 1960s.
The first one is made by Sammy that was a popular British brand back then I think.
The white one hasn’t got a maker tag but a terylene tag also tells 1960s or earlier.
I think terylene was patented in 1941 so perhaps...
Hi all! Have just bought a beautiful silk scarf in a charity shop and was wondering if anyone recognises the make at all, reads like Laula/Laura Ashley but have never seen the Laura Ashley logo/name like this before. I don’t mind either way as I just bought it because I liked it but it would be...
Hey all
I found this scarf in a large bundle of clothing from the 50s to the 80s and I found that originally it was a 1964 cover scarf for Harpers Bazaar. I have been unable to find any other like it, and it also has no labels. I'm guessing it is an original, but any advice would be...
Hi everyone.
I have 2 Vera scarves - no ladybug on the logo, but the fabric is confusing me as to dating them.
They are both 100% Acetate.
Both have rolled hems.
I'm just going to post a couple of photos because I'm brain dead today & I think photos will tell the story better.
Many thanks! I've...
Hi All - new to this site and to vintage products! I'm trying to buy a vintage 1970s Emilio Pucci scarf and while it's in the original packing - the scarf has no labels sewn into the scarf, ie the Emilio Pucci tag, washing instructions and material tag. The seller insists it's authentic and...
Hi!
Looking for this long scarf worn by Cate Blanchett in and/or on the set of Ocean’s 8. I have a feeling it’s vintage, as costumer said scarves were vintage in an interview. (She’s wearing two scarves in these photos; I’m referring to the long patterned one.) Can anyone please ID the designer...
Hi! I picked up this navy blue chiffon silk scarf at a secondhand store known for its designer inventory. The only tag is a metal gold-toned circular charm with a ladybug on one side and "All Silk", "Hand Rolled", and Vera's signature on the other side. Note that there is no copyright symbol...
Hi,
Can anyone tell me anything about this label on a vintage scarf? It was in a box that I bought at an estate auction. There is no other label or writing on the scarf. It looks to be very well made.
Hi everyone. I need some help identifying the brand of this scarf. It's a beautiful red, black and white silk scarf with this butterfly insignia. Does anyone have a clue what brand this could be? Thank you.
Hi
I’m new here. I was given a silk scarf and I am unaware of its history and brand. All I know is that the owner was a female fashion designer in the 50’s and 60’s.
Can anyone help with information about this scarf?
Thank you in advance.
My latest curiosity is dating & finding vintage bandanas. (I found an interesting--to me--one at an estate sale, but I SWEAR I can not find a good resource for dating them or comparing designs. (The one book I could find, my state library system doesn't carry, something out of Japan.) SO...here...
Hi all. Found this scarf at a rummage sale, and I can’t tell if it is real or fake. Didn’t see this label in the LR and most tags i see are blue. Thanks for any help!
Hi everyone. I'm at a loss with this scarf. I found it yesterday at a thrift store and it's made by Kenzo. It strikes me as 70s inspired. The fabric is linen. Thank you in advance!
Could anyone help me figure out if this Chanel Paris scarf is authentic? It is very large, feels like silk but I am admittedly not the master of fabric identification. There is no material tag, but the hems do appear to be hand rolled. I have seen the same design sold as authentic but I...
Hello, I have a scarf from the 1950s made by Saks Fifth Avenue. It's all wool but smells musty and old. Needs a good cleaning!! I refuse to dry clean it as scarves don't hold up well at the dry cleaners. I bought the wool and cashmere shampoo from the Laundress, it has stellar ratings. Before I...
Hi there, I recently acquired this scarf and would love help determining whether it is a true Chanel piece! I have found listings for the same scarf online, which were sold as authentic Chanel. The print on mine looks identical but I'm hoping for some expert in-put :) The listings I found online...
Hi all
My mum found this amazing Hermes silk scarf which we are pretty sure is genuine but would like some help verifying.
The edges are rolled to the front and the label seems to match other genuine scarves online. I've done some research myself and I do have a few concerns although hoping...
I accidentally found this scarf at the Alameda Antique Fair. I do not normally look for scarves but the guy was pressuring me to look at them. In a huge pile I noticed a silk Liberty of London. Any idea of its age? 70s?
