Would appreciate your opinion on this one. It is homemade, the seams are zigzagged instead of surged. The vertical darts on shoulders, plastic buttons. The fabric is probably rayon / viscose, has that waffle like texture, this is the best way I can describe it. Would you call it it boxy? I can...
What are your thoughts on this one? I usually find pussy bow blouses and dresses from the late 1970s - early 1980s era. But isn’t the silhouette on this one is more of a 1960s style? Could it be early 1970s then? It is knee length and probably homemade, no tags. Also 99% chance it is a European...
Hi everyone, so I got these scarves that I think are at least from the 1960s.
The first one is made by Sammy that was a popular British brand back then I think.
The white one hasn’t got a maker tag but a terylene tag also tells 1960s or earlier.
I think terylene was patented in 1941 so perhaps...
I’m back with another question! I just got this dress off of eBay, but it’s I think what is called a bubble skirt? It seems to be two layers of fabric and then net is in between them. I am curious if I can narrow a date down on this dress, has a union label dating it between ‘55-‘63, but I...
It's black wool felt but feels like velveteen on the outside. Having trouble dating. Not sure what era that union label was used. Checked the label resource, but still can't narrow it down. Anyone know? 60s or 70s?
Hi there,
I’m just wondering if anyone has any information on the below Pierre Balmain bag. I believe it’s 1960s calf skin. But that’s all I know :)
Any information at all would be awesome!
I've been looking for information on why raffia clothing was semi popular in the 50s/60s. I can't find any info online (I am quarantined so going to the library is out of the question at the moment). Was it because of soldiers coming back from tropical climates overseas bringing back souvenirs...
I have no idea when this is from. 60's maybe? The skirt is one layer with a transparent liner sewn in. The sleeves have zipper closures as well as the back of the dress . The back also has some metal button closures.
Thanks for the help :)
Hello!
I need help with dating this coat, I am guessing it's from the 60's? Does anyone know about this brand? It is pure wool.
Also, this can be added to the Label Resource!
Thanks,
Teisha
Love the idea of sharing your favourite items, so I thought I'd join and share my biggest treasure.
This is a Givenchy dress from Autumn/Winter 1962, worn by the beautiful Audrey Hepburn. I found it on Ebay of all places!
The labels I find for this shirt with the closest match and same rn number all have "Designers Collection" on the label. As you can see, this label "Made in Hawaii". Is there another collection from this time period with same rn number? What is the reason for the different label?
Need some help on narrowing down a vintage Levis Big E trucker jacket. I know I bought it new in the mid 60's time frame. I have heard it may be a more rare "crossover" version? Any help on further identification details appreciated. I have more pics if needed.
Thanks!
Hello
I am trying to learn more about about and assess the value of vintage Walborg beaded purses. I have a black beaded one with a Walborg label from Japan and a hot pink beaded one with a Walborg label for Italy. I believe both are from the 60's.
Thanks for the help!
Found this amazing, what I believe is a choker (or I could totally be using it incorrectly lol). It doesn’t feel like cheap fashion jewelry but it doesn’t feel real to me either. No markings on the piece, and then then cord like closure on the back half of the necklace just throws me all the way...
Hello All. I have stumbled across this exquisite sleeping gown by A. Sulka. I’m assuming it can be sent back to the 50s since Palm Beach is present on the label. The piece a relatively heavy is made of floral “textured” silk and lined with a solid yellow silk as well. Craftsmanship is amazing a...
Hi there everyone,
I’m hoping someone will be able to help me in finding information about this dress, I can’t find anything other than an illustration by Sheila Brown for vanity fair.
I think it might be quite rare and was hoping someone could help me value it. Thank you in advance!
Hello everyone!
I recently dug a charity shop find out of my wardrobe & realised it was a Gina Fratini grey flannel dolly dress! I can’t find much information on her shorter designs & wondered if anyone could shed light on it..Thank you x
Looking for help dating this adorable 2 pc romper set I recently acquired. The playsuit is button up with shorts and then a separate button up shirt. No label, but appears handmade. Light cotton fabric and just so cute! It was sold as 60's but I feel like it may be earlier? Thanks!
Has anyone seen this label before? I think it says “Gee Gee” but I can’t find anything about it. It appears to be late 60’s, early 70’s? Any help would be appreciated!
I have had this Beatles dress for over 40 years. I know it was produced in Amsterdam and sold to fans, ushers may have worn them as uniforms.
I am trying to figure out best how to put a value on it and best places to possible list it.
Condition is very good. No rips or tears, minor yellowing...
Good morning/afternoon/night,
I'm looking forward to starting my own online business. I am based in Brazil, so I planned on buying vintage clothes here and selling them worldwide through eBay. I've found other dresses that I'll be posting here soon, but let's start with this one, shall we? The...
Hi
I have acquired 4 rather beautiful women’s hats from the early 1960’s.
The red one is Bonwit Teller, the other 3 are Lord and Taylor. I have no idea what to do with them!?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Neil
Hi I am trying to help and elderly friend. She has a beautiful black beaded/sequined/ tassle Teal Traina dress with matching sequined jacket . After researching I found the label matches late 1950's to early 60's We are trying to find out what it is worth. It's in mint condition. If anyone...
