I was wondering if anyone could please help me date this Gloverall coat. I contacted Gloverall and asked for help dating this coat as well as another one and a cape, but unfortunately they weren’t able to help me. Thank you.
Hello! I recently found a gorgeous London Fog coat that appears to be from the 70's (dagger collar and label indicate this). It's made from "cimarron cloth " a sueded rayon that has a velvet feel. I have researched the coat and the material many different ways but I can't find anything remotely...
Hello, I was wondering if I could have some help dating this fur coat I just purchased, and maybe figuring out what type of fur it is? This is my first time posting here, if any more information I need to include or anything like that please let me know! Thanks so much xx
I was asked by an older man to look into selling this item because he has difficulty with computers. I haven't seen it in person yet, and have drawn zero results on the internet. He insists it was made in the 1950's in Paris. I'm aware enough about French to believe 'City Paris' is a misleading...
Hello! I need help painting this coat. I originally thought it dates between the 40's-60's sometime, but I can't find enough substantial info.
They have these beautiful buttons, which I found the info below on -
"AUSTRIAN ARMY EMPEROR FRANZ JOSEPH 1848 VIRIBUS UNITIS . ANTIQUE LOT OF 4...
Hi everyone! Wondering if you have any insight as to when this Holt Renfrew coat may be from?
Here’s some details... Material is 45% virgin wool, 20% virgin lambs wool, 20% nylon, and 20% cashmere. Made in Canada. Dry clean only. CA00985. Approximate length from top of shoulder to bottom seam...
I bought my husband a secondhand Burberry coat for Christmas. He's a history buff so I'd love to be able to tell him the decade it's from! It's camel coloured, no nova check, no care label that I can see, no Burberry name on the buttons, has an order number in the inner pocket, etc. I believe it...
Hi everyone,
Would anyone be able to tell me if this is a real Burberry coat?
I am asking because there are a few things that make me believe it is a fake / counterfeit. The main one being there is no inner care label. And, there is a center seam on the inside of the lining.
I have attached a...
Hi! This is my first post here. I recently thrifted this coat and I'm trying not find out if the label is genuine or not and if so, how old it is. Usually when I find this label is says "warranted to be a" above Pendleton, but this one doesn't have it. The coat seems like good quality, but I'd...
I have searched the label resource, Google and just about anywhere I know to find out something about this coat. Haven't found a thing. This is these only label in the coat and it is definitly real fur I just have no idea what kind. Any help is appreciated.
Hello! Found this super cool coat at goodwill and it looks vintage but has no identifying tags but the print is pretty distinct. Anyone recognize this?
I just got this trench coat thrifted in South Africa on the weekend. It’s had quite a world journey in its lifetime. From the brand logo and name, I assumed it was from the States or UK and had no luck coming up with any brand affiliations.
I then discovered tags in the left hand inner pocket-...
Hi! I came across this beautiful fur coat and am trying to determine a). The kind of fur and b). The decade.
It is heavy and warm. It has pockets. The fur is dark brown/amber.
Hello!
I was wondering if someone could help me identify this vintage fur coat that I own. I’ve had it for a few years now and I have no idea what type of fur it is. It is dark brown and the fur has a nice shine to it. Please let me know if you need any additional information or pictures...
Inherited this jacket from my grandmother. Fabric is a velvety pink, lined with a equally as fun pink on the inside. Sadly is missing a button. Have wondered for years when this is from (50's maybe?).
Thanks for your help!
Hello!
I need help with dating this coat, I am guessing it's from the 60's? Does anyone know about this brand? It is pure wool.
Also, this can be added to the Label Resource!
Thanks,
Teisha
Again I think this is mink but I don't really know.
Once again it's a style I love but I think it's got dry rot which is a total bummer. I'll be taking it apart after I get my mom's furs taken care of to check out the skins. Thanks again for the help!
I think this is also a mink coat but still not sure.
As soon as I find out if any are mink then I can work on reconditioning them so they'll be ready for mom's birthday.
Yep still at it for mom but this time I think I might have a mink coat, I'm going to be so embarrassed if I don't get at least one of these furs right, embarrassed but more knowledgeable. Thanks again for any help you can give me.
Yep, I went totally nuts with this fur thing but I always go nuts around mom's birthday.
I think this might be muskrat fur?
Unfortunately I think the skins aren't in good shape, I hear crinkling in the shoulders. Mom might insist on mink but I like this fur and the style a lot. I hope something...
So this is the second fur I got for my mom and I don't think it's mink either. I'm guessing Russian squirrel again but less sure on this one. Looking forward to anything you can tell me. This is all so much fun!
Hi,
I have inherited an Ocelot coat from my mother-in-law and I am looking to see if you know what age it might be and possible value. I have owned it for 16 years myself now and am having a clear out of my dressing room. If I can I'd like to sell it.
I appreciate any response, thank you
Hi there. I’m new to this site and am so intrigued already. Hoping I can get some help on this specific fur coat. What type of fur. Possibly when it could’ve been made. And a little about the maker. I will definitely browse more drums to see if I can find anything, but any help would be greatly...
Hi Guys!
I've been trying to figure out the approximate date of this coat, and I am just not sure. The pleats on the sleeves and lines along the waist are interesting details. It is wool, and I think it's possible that the buttons were replaced at some point. (It is missing buttons from the...
Can you all help me with identifying this coat. From others posts it appears it's a 1940s style. The label, though worn shows American Fur Co. Salt Lake City. It's in pristine condition with no tears of the fur. There are some worn areas inside from wear but that is all. It has the...
Hi all - I found a coat today with this tag. No other tags in the item (e.g., no ILGWU tag). I'm trying to find some info about Fleurette of CA but didn't see anything in the resources on this site. Does anyone know anything about them, and have any ideas about dating this coat? Thanks!
Hi,
This fur coat was in my grandmother possession, unfortunately she never spoke of it before passing. My mum thinks it's mink but really neither of us know how to tell.
Can anybody help work out what it is and when it was likely to be made?
The branding is karter of scotland furs.
I was recently rummaging through some old stuff that had belonged to my grandmother (whom I had never met). I came across a fur coat of hers that I had not seen since childhood, when my mother stored it away to clear up space. She had it kept in a plastic bag aghhhh!!
Anyway, I had to save it. I...
