Hi There! I have this little cardigan by Catalina Cable.. I had a look at the label history on the label resource page and per that this is from the 1930's - Can anyone assist as to what a good price guide would be, please and thank you!? ~Melissa
So, thanks to a lucky find in a thrift store last year, I happened to get into embroidered peasant blouses! I’ve been keeping my eye out and have picked up a couple new additions over the course of this summer and I’ve been wondering if anyone had any tips for distinguishing between the decades...
Hi!
I found this clutch at a garage sale but I'm unable to find any information online about it. I was wondering if anyone on this forum would know anything?
It the label inside is gold metal and says "Saks Fifth Avenue Made in Italy". The outside is gold metal in the shape of a bow. The clasp...
Hi! I bought this vintage skirt and looking at the label I can't seem to identify the Era. Also looking at the lining, I thought it originally wasn't built with any and this one might have been stitched afterwards.
I started to un stitch it but the hanging strap came off because it was stitched...
I purchased this gown and matching coat from the home of a retired antique store owner. The owner was moving into a retirement home, and her daughter was selling her collection. Unfortunately the daughter didn't know if this piece was authentic from the 1890s-1910s, or if it is a costume.
The...
Hi,
this was sold to me as 1930s but now I'm beginning to see more 50s and 60s with the type and style of brocade, and relatively narrow sleeves as well as shoulders and acetate lining? help! Has pockets
Hello all!
I would be incredibly grateful if anyone has any insight on this piece and the tag. I've done a good bit of research, but I'm officially stumped. It has a talon zipper that looks like it's sometime between 40's-50's. Can't pin point that either..
Let me know if you know anything I...
Hello!
I got this jacket from Salvation Army and I have no idea when it is from or even whether its vintage, but I think it is! Hoping to find someone who can tell me a little bit about it. There are no tags in it.
Here are some photos:
Thank you!
Hello! I found this dress at a Goodwill in Winter Park FL. I have tried to do research on the piece but am coming up inconclusive due to the tag/brand and style of the dress. I know that LUREX is the name of the metallic thread material but the tag (photo below) looks as if it was possibly the...
Inherited this jacket from my grandmother. Fabric is a velvety pink, lined with a equally as fun pink on the inside. Sadly is missing a button. Have wondered for years when this is from (50's maybe?).
Thanks for your help!
I have no idea when this is from. 60's maybe? The skirt is one layer with a transparent liner sewn in. The sleeves have zipper closures as well as the back of the dress . The back also has some metal button closures.
Thanks for the help :)
I'm looking to date this dirndl bodice/vest. It is silk velveteen with a silk lining, edged in a wide middy braid. I believe the middy braid is wool but there is not enough to burn test. Hand and machine stitches throughout. The hooks are inflexible and have flat tops. It does not adjust; the...
Recently got this dress. I tried to get one picture of the entire thing but it was simply too long. The train is easily 5/6 feet long. Button closures all down the back with a zipper at the bottom. There are also two metal clasps at the top of the neck. Veil is very long and attached to pearl...
I’ve came across this GORGEOUS, heavy beaded dress. It’s beadwork and weight are significant. These colors are a dream. The back, never seen anything like it. I’m getting Gene Shelly vibes. I can’t quite put my tongue on the year. This color and pattern is very 50’s or 60’s. Leaning towards...
Hello,
I purchased a Sir Pendleton shirt with with this tag at an Estate Sale today. My initial thought is 1960's.
The dark blue color and woolmark with no register R are throwing me off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hello,
I see that Joseph Ribkoff is mentioned in the Label resource but this exact label is not there.
Any idea when this Label style is from?
Thanks!
Teisha
I have these red leather and black patent T-bar F.Pinet shoes of 47 New Bond Street, London. I am unsure on how to date them. They look old and in 1920s style but think they might be 50s/60s. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Hello!
I need help with dating this coat, I am guessing it's from the 60's? Does anyone know about this brand? It is pure wool.
Also, this can be added to the Label Resource!
Thanks,
Teisha
Again I think this is mink but I don't really know.
Once again it's a style I love but I think it's got dry rot which is a total bummer. I'll be taking it apart after I get my mom's furs taken care of to check out the skins. Thanks again for the help!
I think this is also a mink coat but still not sure.
As soon as I find out if any are mink then I can work on reconditioning them so they'll be ready for mom's birthday.
Yep still at it for mom but this time I think I might have a mink coat, I'm going to be so embarrassed if I don't get at least one of these furs right, embarrassed but more knowledgeable. Thanks again for any help you can give me.
Yep, I went totally nuts with this fur thing but I always go nuts around mom's birthday.
I think this might be muskrat fur?
Unfortunately I think the skins aren't in good shape, I hear crinkling in the shoulders. Mom might insist on mink but I like this fur and the style a lot. I hope something...
So this is the second fur I got for my mom and I don't think it's mink either. I'm guessing Russian squirrel again but less sure on this one. Looking forward to anything you can tell me. This is all so much fun!
Hi, I'm hoping you can help me ID some fur coats I bought.
My mom's 89'th birthday is coming up and she's always wanted a mink coat, I couldn't afford one so I bought a few on e-bay and was pleasantly surprised they are all real fur, now I've got to figure out what type of fur because she will...
Good morning!
I found this jacket in a thrift market, I loved the sparkling blue color and the red dots interior so I bought it. I guess this is vintage but I have no idea of the date. The boxy shape make me thinks of the '60 and the fact that it has no label and looks hand-made reinforces the...
Hi, I'm back with my latest question! I have this dress that I picked up because it was only a few dollars and I thought the fabric was so lovely but it's torn in several places. Okay, to start, it's a handmade shirtwaist dress, made from a very lightweight cotton (voile?). It hits just below...
